A working meeting was held between the management of our institution and representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA
Prospects for further cooperation were discussed during this working meeting. The meeting was devoted to the development of emergency medical services and disaster medicine in Ukraine, as well as improving the system of emergency preparedness.
The parties reviewed in detail the possibilities of technical and expert support that JICA can provide, as well as the areas in which Japan’s international experience in organizing emergency assistance and managing medical risks during emergencies of various kinds can be used.
JICA representatives expressed their readiness to support the development of the emergency medical care and disaster medicine system in Ukraine by providing technical assistance and participating in the implementation of strategic projects. They also discussed possible areas of cooperation to improve logistics and digitalize emergency response.
The participants of the meeting agreed on the next steps of cooperation, development of specific action plans and strengthening of coordination between the Ukrainian and Japanese sides.
