Meeting of heads of regional centers of emergency and disaster medicine: strategic decisions for the future
On March 13-14, 2025, a meeting of heads of regional emergency medical care and disaster medicine centers was held in Cherkasy. Two days of active discussions, analysis, and planning were dedicated to improving the emergency medical care system in Ukraine.

The key issues discussed were:
Performance of regional EMC centers in 2024 – analysis of key achievements and challenges.
Organization of training in regional EMC centers – how to improve the skills of specialists and implement modern methods.
Assessment of the capacity of training departments – staff training, compliance with international standards.
Retraining of paramedics and emergency medical technicians – creating a single effective training system.
Formation of disaster medicine teams – a strategy for development and interaction in emergency situations.
Prospects for the development of disaster medicine – how to adapt the system to modern challenges.
Updating primary accounting documents in the EHR system – digitalization and automation of processes.
Formation of quality control in the EHR system – approaches to improving performance.
Patient routing – optimizing logistics and improving coordination between institutions.
Financing of regional EMC centers – resources and their effective use.
The state of human resources – the problem of staff shortages and strategies for attracting new specialists.
Logistics – renewal of the vehicle fleet, provision of medicines and equipment.
Results and decisions made:
The meeting was not only a platform for discussion, but also identified clear areas of action to be implemented in the near future.
This meeting was an important step in the development of the emergency medical care system! We are working to make healthcare in Ukraine even more efficient, accessible and modern.
