A working meeting was held in Uman to discuss the readiness of the region’s medical system to respond to possible emergencies
Recently, a working meeting was held in Uman between the management of the Institution, representatives of the Cherkasy Department of Health, the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine of the Cherkasy Regional Council, the Uman Central City Hospital of the Uman City Council, the Uman Central District Hospital of the Uman District Council, and Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy region.
The main purpose of the event was to discuss the readiness of the region’s medical system to respond to possible emergencies, in particular during large gatherings of people and unforeseen events.
Highlights of the meeting.
Readiness of medical services:
Key aspects related to the rapid response of the region’s medical component in the event of emergencies were discussed. The participants of the meeting emphasized the need to develop effective strategies to ensure prompt emergency medical care for victims and their unimpeded hospitalization if necessary.
Coordination of actions:
One of the main points of the meeting was the coordination of actions between different services. They discussed the main evacuation routes, ways of cooperation between medical institutions and other response services. The participants also reviewed algorithms for working in critical situations to ensure the smooth operation of medical teams during mass events.
Cooperation with the community:
An important element of this preparation was communication with representatives of the Hasidic community, which actively participates in public events in Uman. Establishing an effective dialog with such communities is important for avoiding emergencies and ensuring the safety of all participants.
This meeting was an important step in improving the preparedness of regional medical services for emergencies. The joint efforts of all participants were aimed at creating a reliable system for responding to any challenges that may arise in crowded conditions.
