The Center’s specialists conducted regular monitoring visits to emergency medical care and disaster medicine centers
The Foundation’s specialists conducted regular monitoring visits to Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Poltava and Kharkiv Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine Centers (EMC and DM).
During the visits, the issues of the Centers’ readiness to respond to mass casualty emergencies were discussed. They discussed the specifics of the functioning of disaster medicine teams, including procedures and algorithms for responding to emergencies and coordinating actions with other services.
Attention was also focused on the training of employees in the training departments, discussing their training methods and training.
In addition, they touched upon the skills needed to respond quickly in emergency situations.
The issues of financial support for the functioning of the institutions and the need to optimize resources to ensure effective response to emergencies were also discussed.
We are grateful to the heads of the institutions for the structured dialogues that contributed to a deeper understanding of the current challenges and opportunities for further improvement of the emergency medical care system.
