Employee of the Institution participated in the Workshop on National Strategic Risk Assessment in Lviv
In the period from June 24 to 26, 2025, a Workshop on National Strategic Risk Assessment was held in Lviv, organized by the State Institution “Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” with the support of the World Health Organization Office in Ukraine World Health Organization Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Viktor Yevhenovych Kazachkov, Head of the Disaster Medicine Department, took part in the event as a delegated representative of the institution.
The purpose of the workshop was to develop a draft National Strategic Risk Assessment, a tool that allows public authorities to assess threats to public health in a timely and evidence-based manner. This will serve as the basis for developing emergency preparedness and response plans that take into account all possible risks.
Increasing national capacity in risk assessment is one of the key steps to improving public health safety in Ukraine.
