On October 2-4, 2024, the heads of the specialized departments of the State Institution “UNPC EMC and MC of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” were in Uman to coordinate and timely respond to possible emergencies
During October 2-4, 2024, the heads of the specialized departments of the State Institution “UNPC EMC and MC of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” were in Uman, Cherkasy region, where events among Hasidic pilgrims dedicated to the celebration of the Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah (New Year 5785), were held to coordinate and timely respond to possible emergencies.

According to local authorities, nearly 36,000 pilgrims came to the holiday. Representatives of the institution, together with the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine of the Cherkasy Regional Council, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy Region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police and the National Guard, worked closely to ensure the safety of the mass event.

During all the main days of the celebration, there were no incidents that could have caused negative health consequences among pilgrims and citizens present.
