The visit of the WHO consultant was held as part of the preparation of the DMT for the upcoming international classification process in accordance with WHO standards
The Institution is actively preparing Type 1 disaster medicine teams (mobile and fixed) for the upcoming international classification process in accordance with WHO standards.
As part of this preparation and support, the World Health Organization Ukraine Office hosted an important visit by WHO consultant and WASH expert Guillermo Sanchez Rodriguez. During the visit, a detailed analysis of the existing material and technical base, regulatory documents and related processes was carried out. The main purpose of the visit was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the QIU’s preparation for the upcoming pre-verification visit of the international team of mentors and to develop recommendations for improving existing procedures and policies, which will help to increase the efficiency of preparation for the upcoming international classification.
